you must be trippin'.

guess who's finally back "home" from my super duper trip(s) to arizona and ewwtah utah? yes, it's me. i wanted to get one last little hoorah in with the fam/friends/favorite eating places/last chance/deathly weather before i have to drag (totally kidding) my butt to paris, and lemme tell ya, that i did. it started off in arizona, where i literally almost passed out from the heat coming off the plane. yikes spikes. anyways, coming home was just how it should be, other than the fact that i was sick for most of it. typical. i don't know what was more sad, the fact that i laid on the couch wearing the same pajamas for three days straight or that i spent those days watching "the hills" reruns on netflix. i know i know, ridiculous, but it's a guilty pleasure and i had to do something while i was on my deathbed. still, i got to hangout alot with my sisters, brother-in-laws and my almost-two-year-old niece reese (calls herself "she she" instead of "reesie" and it is the most adorable thing, i can't tell you how many times i made her say it).

some of the highlights include: 1.) helping franny and lori go through their closets and get rid of fugly clothes/put together outfits. seriously, we were dying laughing at some of the stuff they still had ("i thought i'd keep them for hawaiian night" "hawaiian night with WHO?", "lori, you look so SEXY") and also, i'm alittle embarrassed that i'm related to people that own chunky cork wedge heels and black/brown zebra trench coats. kidding. kinda.
2.) i had a sleepover with janis and chelsea, where me and janis both fell asleep at 10 o'clock while watching despicable me. party animals! it was still so fun to see my girls and we got to go to some old favorites: bahama bucks and los favs (got a new favorite there...the adobada? mmmmm.). plus i got to try the double stack oreo that i've been so excited for. don't judge.
3.) a traditional family last chance/pho trip.
[maria, lori, she she, daddy, franny, april, moi, jit]
[this is not pho, although it is still delicious. they call it "bun sai gon" or #17, and i call it heaven.]

lc was awesome, as always. i was SO excited because i found this dress there that i never could find in my size at nordstrom for $13. and talked the lady into giving me a pair of cat-eyes for $3. SCORE. i did have some fun in the open dressing room with jit and lori though ;] wink. and then my dad and family best friend april met us for a "pho-in" yummy pho lunch, and we all joked about how my dad's face is so smooth and how he probably secretly wears avocado face masks at night.
seriously though guys.
4.) a braiding party with my sisters where maria taught us how to do the waterfall braid/french braid. took me forever to learn and two seconds to forget because i don't even remember now. COOL.

5.) watching bachelor pad (me splitting my lip from laughing so hard with lori when mom "woke up")/playing mario kart ("oh so that's when being a monkey comes in handy")/getting fro yo/pita jungle with the most annoying piano player/that's what she said galore/me and lori crashing franny's enrichment night just for the food and making fun of gluten-free girl/lori and me being computer programmers whilst making my blog (freaking div, "hi i'm michelle, i love birds, dodgeball, computer programming, check me out!")/family bbq and discovering month-old shishkabobs on the grill.

all in all, i learned that i am obsessed with my family, especially my sisters, and i'm going to miss them all so much when i leave in less than a week for paris, but i think i've got enough memories to last me through the three months. or a week. whatever.
[maria singing to reesie. bad picture, but i love it.]
[love me some miller girls. i'm in love and i don't care who knows it!]
[we go to take a silly picture and mom pretends to drink from the sippie. naturally, me and lori gag.]
[she really does love me. even though she hides it so well.]
 [she she]
[haha that face! gets me every time.]
utah trip post comin' right up...after i beach it up, of course. duh.

  1. Bahahahahaha...the post was just as funny as the actual week! Im impressed Meesh. Seriously, look at you all natural blogger and everything. You make it look good. Most of us on our first post are like "Ok, this is my new blog my friends have been bugging me to start and we'll see if I keep doing it." You are hilarious! makes me want to copy and paste it to my blog because lets be honest, I had already forgotten some of those sweet stories. Like mom waking up during the bachelorette...did Rick ever comment? Anyways, congrats girl and just remember when you are a big and famous blogger that you give credit to the frikkin computer programmer who set up your blog and taught you everything that you know...mmm kay?
